AmeriCorps Teacher

We are looking for recent college graduates who feel a commitment to education, who desire to make a difference in the lives of children, and who would enjoy working closely with a team of equally passionate people.

The intern's primary responsibilities will be working with middle school girls in the classroom with assistance and supervision from a lead teacher; coaching sports; managing a major area of school life such as the lunch program, the sports program, etc. While it is recognized that the interns will have little or no teaching experience, the entire atmosphere is one of collaboration and mutual learning. Hours are long and the work is tiring, but the rewards are innumerable!

Compensation package will include medical, community housing, and a monthly stipend.  Upon successful completion of the internship, teachers will be eligible for the AmeriCorps educational award valued at approximately $5,750.

Interested candidates please send a cover letter and resume to Principal Stacy Solomon or fax to 302.651.9703.
