Library and Technology

Our facilities incorporate an ever-expanding library collection, including over 1,000 novels recently donated by a student at Archmere Academy, a recent aquisition of scholarly journals and educational magazines, and an extensive reference and biographical section that is coordinated to match our curriculum. All students are highly encouraged to make use of the library, and fifth graders have a regular class on literary analysis in which they also learn how to make use of library resources.

Each classroom is outfitted with SmartBoard technology, which both our teachers and students make use of daily. In addition, we have a mobile laptop lab, two desktops and a networked printer in each homeroom, four desktops in the library, and wireless internet access throughout the building. The use of technology is incorporated into lessons and required for some assignments with the belief that early exposure to technology will provide an invaluable resource for our students' high school studies.
