Faculty and Staff
The students are taught by a combination of experienced master teachers and resident volunteers. Master teachers cover advanced courses in the main subject areas and play a critical role in curriculum development and the assessment of each student. The resident volunteer teachers' responsibilites include assisting in the classrooms, supervising enrichment classes, and managing the school's food program.
Our teachers work longer hours with challenging circumstances that are unique to at-risk, high-poverty communities. However, they are filled with both passion for taking such challenges and a vision of how each student could grow if given the right resources and opportunities.
